Meteor is an aspiring game studio and development agency on Roblox dedicated to provide our users with the utmost enjoyment in our Roblox experiences.

As of now, the team behind Meteor Game Studios consists of over 30 employees, each with their own goals and skills. These talented individuals are those who have their hands on the steering wheel, improving the studio and our experiences.

The ultimate goal of our studio is to create innovative, unique and creative experiences for users of all ages and from all over the world to enjoy.

Meteor develops and publishes games in many different genres, such as simulators, action and fighting games, strategy games and social games. We aim to create games which numerous different audiences will find enjoyable.

Job Description

As a Gameplay Programmer, you'd be tasked with programming with Lua within Roblox Studio and implementing various game mechanics and systems. We are looking for compotenent, creative, open-minded and talented individuals who are proficient when working with Lua and who have a solid understanding of Roblox Studio.

Responsibilities

• Developing & implementing gameplay systems & interfaces
• Using various developer tools such as Git and Visual Studio Code for collaboration.
• Programming with Roblox Lua (Luau) within Roblox Studio
• Documenting written code for ease of use
• Collaborating with other developers in the studio

Required Experience

• Over 2 years of experience with programming in Lua
• Experience working in Roblox Studio and Roblox as a whole
• At least 16 years of age

Recommended Experience

• Experience using Rojo and Visual Studio Code for Roblox game development
• Experience working in large development teams
• Understanding of other concepts of Roblox development (i.e Map Design, UI/UX, etc)

Education

• Any qualifications or degrees are a bonus, however not required.

Skills

• Ability to collaborate with other developers
• Able to mentor & guide less experienced developers
• Strong ability to problem solve & troubleshoot bugs and issues
• Able to work across multiple projects

Other Details

This is a fully remote job. We accept applicants from almost every country in the world, so long as you are legally able to work in your country. We do require all employees to sign an employment contract and non-disclosure agreement.
